ALL YOU WILL NEED TO DO THEN IS CALL A SHIPPER TO PICK-UP THE UNIT AND HAVE IT DELIVERED (AND OFFLOADED) AT YOUR ADDRESS. Tips that we found VERY beneficial (Please use them) regarding off-loading at your address: Other information would be important to acknowledge: 1) In MOST cases, it is best that your Dog House be shipped to a loading dock close to your address, so that they (the loading dock) can load the House on your trailer, OR deliver to your address from there. We highly recommend this form of transport because there is a reasonable chance that you (on the receiving end) may not be prepared to offload the unit from the back end of a semi trailer.. Additionally, some residential addresses restrict Semi Tractor Operation. 2) As stated above, many shippers can and will deliver your unit to your property from a Loading Dock, but it will cost more $$ AND sometimes these shippers will drop these units off on your driveway ONLY. 3) Tow Truck Drivers across the nation had came to our aid in the past. Many said Tow Truck Drivers have "tippable" flat bed car carriers with winches. They will wrap a tow strap around the base of the unit, winch it off the semi trailer onto your flat-bed, tie it down and ship it to your address. Additionally, Most Tow truck drivers WILL back your unit in the spot of your yard that you want, tip the bed and slide the unit off. This is the slickest way to get the job done! If you go this route, remember that a shipper MUST first ship the unit to the towing facility and then the LOCAL tow truck driver takes over from there. In Minnesota, Tow Truck Drivers would charge an additional $50.00 - $150.00 for this type of delivery and it was well worth it!!. 4) If you rent a trailer to deliver your house from a local loading dock to your house get a trailer that is "tipable", a solid steel, or wood floor, and no gate in back (just saving you head-aches). Once you bring the unit home, you simply back the trailer into the area you want the Dog House positioned, tip the trailer and, by pushing, slide the unit off. Once the back two legs are on the ground, you simply pull the trailer out from underneath it. 5) If you prefer a trucker to deliver a house to you direct and: A) Semi Trucks are not restricted in your area B) You have, or are going to rent a fork lift, you should be in good shape. If you need to rent a Fork Lift, I recommend you contact a Sunbelt Equipment Rental near you. They will literally drop it off right on your driveway for the day!!!
